This young man is a student at a monastery in western Bhutan. Many boys enter monasteries to gain an education without expecting to become monks in adulthood, alhough all men are expected to attend a monastery for some period of time, even for as short as a few weeks, before marrying. This vertical panoramic photograph was taken with a Hasselblad X-pan camera.
