in
The Tower of the Winds, c. 50 B.C.E., sits on the eastern edge of the Roman Agora, which dates from 100 years later. This eight sided building has a frieze around the eight sides, each side dedicated to a different wind. When built it had a water driven clock powered by a stream from the Acropolis in Athens, Greece. This image was taken with a Hasselblad HD-31 digital camera.
